restaurant drop safe
I got a call for advice on a good restaurant drop safe. I usually respond to questions of this type very carefully because it is very easy to make the wrong assumptions when you are selling safes to restaurants. I could base my answer on what I hear the most, but that could be very different from what most restaurants need.
Looking at historical sales to restaurants, the clear winner is the small 20x14 drop safe, followed closely by the double door drop safe. The number of wide body drop safes sold to restaurants is a bit less than I would expect.
In the case of the customer who called, it turned out that this restaurant had two shifts and that the night shift manager was to take the deposit and move them to another section so that the morning shift manager could access them in the morning. A double door drop safe was sufficient. We discussed some special electronic locks but the customer decided that they provided functionality that was not needed in this case.
