used jeweler safe
A used jeweler safe is usually extremely fit and unloyal to safe vendors: it never sits in stock and it tends to run off with the first customer it can find. "I never had any luck with used jeweler safes" says the Safest Man on Earth holding back a tear.
Even a small discount off of a used jeweler safe makes it a bargain for jewelers who typically only buy a safe for insurance reasons. "Very few of my customers like to brag about their safe with their friends" continues the Safest Man on Earth, and that is why they are so popular among jewelers.
When buying a used jeweler safe, make sure that it has a valid UL label that hasn't been slapped on the safe by an unscrupolous merchant. In most cases, you get what you pay for. If it costs you almost like a new one, make sure that it has been refurbished and that it comes with a warranty. If it is much cheaper than a new one, make sure to at least see a picture of it before you buy it.
